Nigeria lattest News contesy of Formal president of Nigeria Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday reiterated his decision to abstain from party politics. Obasanjo spoke when Gov. Idris Wada of Kogi visited him in Abeokuta. Obasanjo, however, added that he would continue to identify with people who meant well and continued to contribute positively to the development of Nigeria. “Everybody is welcome irrespective of his political leaning provided he or she believes in the nation Nigeria and has good intentions towards its development.” Personality is more important than platform in the achievement of goals. “We should understand that it is not the party that makes the individual but that it is the individual that makes the party. It is who you are that you bring into the party.” Obasanjo commended Wada for winning the leadership award for his leadership qualities, adding that Nigeria needed more of such personalities. Wada told journalists later that Obasanjo was a detribalised Nigerian.
